Kiss

A kiss is something simple, In execution and technique. Used to make a dimple, When you smile, on your cheek.
But that doesn't make it easy, Because there's more to it than that. And I know it may sound cheezy, But you must know it is a fact.
A kiss is something pure, An expression of resolve. If ever you are unsure, A kiss can make worries dissolve.
A kiss is a promise from lips to hearts, Just don't miss the message that that kiss imparts.

I can't seem to write anything but sonnets lately. But can you really blame me? I love the flow of sonnets. I love the fact that Shakespeare wrote over a hundred of them. Some people may find the format constrictive and inhibiting. But when you make it work, nothing expresses the way you feel better. Those of you who read this, TRY A SONNET! It doesn't take long and it almost always turns out beautiful.

Rhyming Scheme:
ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

3 stanzas alternating rhyming lines, followed by a Rhyming couplet.

Some sonnets are hard to make long enough, Some you want to keep going, but the most difficult lines are almost always the last two. They're very final and you feel like they should be the most powerful and that's not always easy to do. I kind of want to write some other style soon, but I'm happy with sonnets right now... I have drawn a few things i'm not terribly ashamed of... maybe I'll get a scanner someday and put them up?
